Friend Graph Maker

See your chat circle as one picture. Drop your Discord data export and get a map of the friends you talk to, your friend groups and the friends who went quiet.

  • Runs in your browser
  • No upload, no login
  • Free to use

Drop your package.zip here

Use the ZIP file from the Discord data email. Do not unzip it.

Your file stays on this device. No upload, no login and no token. This page never asks for your Discord password.

How to make your friend graph

  1. 1

Request your data package. In Discord, open User Settings, then Data & Privacy, then Request your data. Tick Account and Messages. Read the step-by-step export guide.

  2. 2

Wait for the email. Discord emails a download link. It can take up to 30 days. Try the demo graph while you wait.

  3. 3

Drop package.zip on this page. Your browser reads the file on your device. A big package takes longer to read than a small one.

How to read the graph

You, in the center
Every friend has a line to you. A thicker line means more messages.
Dot size
A bigger dot means you sent that friend more direct messages.
Inner ring
Your 12 most-messaged friends sit closest to you.
Dashed lines and colors
Two friends are linked when they share a group chat with you. Each friend group gets its own color.
Gray dots
Dormant friends: no direct message from you in the last 30 days.

Your data stays on your device

  • Your browser opens the ZIP file. The file is never uploaded to a server.
  • The tool reads your friend list and counts your messages. It does not keep message text.
  • Nothing is saved. Close the tab and the data is gone.
  • The tool never asks for your Discord login or token, so your account stays safe.
  • The graph uses initials, not profile pictures, so the tool sends no requests to Discord.

What the export cannot show

The data package holds your friend list and the messages you sent. It does not list the members of your servers, and it does not show who your friends know. So no export-based tool can show true mutual friends or mutual servers. Friend Graph links two friends only when they share a group chat with you.

Questions and answers

Does Friend Graph upload my data package?

No. Your browser opens the ZIP file and builds the graph on your device. The file is never uploaded. Close the tab and the data is gone.

Do I need to log in or paste a token?

No. Friend Graph never asks for your Discord login, password or token. Tools that ask for a token can get your account banned. This tool only reads the export file that Discord emails to you.

Can it show mutual friends or mutual servers?

No. The data export does not list who is in each server or who your friends know. Friend Graph links two friends when they share a group chat with you. That is the only friend-to-friend data in the export.

Why are some friends gray?

Gray friends are dormant. You sent them no direct message in the last 30 days. Friends with no direct messages at all sit in the outer ring.

What does the size of a dot mean?

A bigger dot means you sent that friend more direct messages. The export only holds the messages you sent, so the graph counts your side only.

How do I save or share my graph?

Select Save as PNG. The image is made in your browser. Tick Hide names in image first if you want to share it without your friends’ names.

My package will not open. What can I do?

Use the ZIP file exactly as you downloaded it. Do not unzip and re-zip it. If the page says the Account section is missing, request a new export and tick Account and Messages.
